RAUK Approved Part 1 ESRA Diploma (MCQ) Prep Course

This course now in its second year is specifically aimed at helping anaesthetists prepare for the part 1-MCQ component of the ESRA (European Society of Regional Anaesthesia) diploma examination.

Developed by NHS Consultant Regional Anaesthetists who are ESRA members and who have successfully passed both components of this examination.

The course programme will cover aspects in regional anaesthesia relevant to the ESRA diploma examination. Sit mock ESRA regional anaesthesia MCQ exams and receive tuition and lectures covering topics relevant to the exam. .

Cost: £100 for this intensive one day course.

Certificates of attendance will be issued on the day along with a receipt of payment for study leave application.

Parking: There is a 45 space car park behind the PGEC, accessed between the PGEC and cityside restaurant. There is a barrier with intercom access. 09:20-10:00 Equipment review: Peripheral nerve stimulation, ultrasound, catheters and local anaesthetic agents

10:00-10:45 Review of Upper limb blocks

10:45-11:00 Coffee Break

11:00-11:45 Review of Lower limb blocks

11:45-12:30 Review of Neuro-axial blocks and Intravenous techniques

12:30-13:15 Mock ESRA Diploma MCQ Paper 1

13:15-14:00 Lunch
