2012 RAUK Annual Meeting

The 2012 RA-UK Annual Meeting will be held on 10-11th May 2012 in the vibrant city of Newcastle.

The conference venue is the Centre for Life, Times Square, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4EP

Join friends and colleagues for an update on the latest developments in regional anaesthesia, and refresh your knowledge and skills at the Hot Topics and Workshop sessions.

General Information

Poster Competition

We will be holding a poster competition for trainees. These will be judged throughout the Annual Scientific meeting on the Friday. Prizes of £250, £150 and £100 will be awarded, with first prize receiving the RA-UK medal. In addition Goldshield will sponsor the winning trainee's travel, accommodation and registration expenses to the ESRA meeting in Bordeaux in September 2012.
Abstracts considered suitable will be submitted to Anaesthesia for review by the editorial board for publication. A poster submission form can be downloaded from here.

Deadline for submission is Wednesday 04 April 2012 at Midnight.

Social

The RAUK Dinner will be held at the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art at 19:30 on Thursay 10th May. Details of the venue available here.

RA-UK Annual Golf Competition -a golf package is booked on 9th May 2012 starting at 13:00 with sandwiches. It isbeing held at Slaley Hall, Northumberland which is a PGA tour location - a map of the course is available here. More venue details available here. 20 places have been reserved at £25 per head and this includes the use of all Slaley Hall's extensive leisure facilities.

Times square car park is the nearest and official parking site for the meeting. Special rates have been negotiated for the meeting days, and will be communicated through registration process.
